We handle the design, development and hosting of a variety of online campaigns, including database driven sites managed with content management systems, and have expert knowledge of ecommerce, audio and video streaming, and community based sites.
We endeavour to build relationships that go beyond supplier/client, delivering a personal service wherever, and whenever required. Many of our clients simply think of us as part of their team.

Institute of Fundraising
The Institute of Fundraising approached us to design and develop a new site for their National Convention, giving details of the convention, the speakers and the sessions, and allowing delegates to book their place securely though the site.
Most of the content is updated by the Institute themselves, but we are also providing ongoing support for what we hope will be a long term relationship.

Windmill's association with the Lovebytes international digital arts festival enters its fifteenth year, and it's back to black for this year's web site, as it was right back in '96.

Windmill breaks with the no-advertising, no-publicity ethos by taking prime centre-line perimeter advertising at the Christmas Cup!
But it's only for little people. It's a Subbuteo tournament, that strangely given the name will be hosted at the end of August at Polzeath, Cornwall.
Monies raised from the event, including our advertising fees, will go to aid the Cornwall Air Ambulance.

AllOneWord has been created as a new, wholly owned subsidiary to take care of all the server-side of things, leaving Windmill to concentrate on creating feature-rich new media content.
So, from 1st May, if it's domain registration, renewal or any hosting issues, it's AllOneWord. For top notch web projects, it's Windmill Media Limited.

One of our photographs was picked up by the Daily Star for their Sports section. It was of Ugo Ehiogu signing for Sheffield United from Rangers. And by coincidence it was also used by the Sheffield Star.

Lovebytes is an annual international festival of digital art in Sheffield UK, bringing together a vast array of creative work from the frontiers of music, film, art and design.
One of Windmill's very first clients. We have used the Lovebytes sites as our showcase, as reflecting the commissioned artworks on the web often calls for cutting edge design and development.

Supporting the Blades since 1996
Launched in 1995/96 season, sufc.co.uk was the one of the first official sporting club sites, and the message board developed for the fans was the very first for an English football club.
As well as day-to-day management of the site, Windmill now acts as consultants and representitives for Sheffield United to the Football League, and has also been a part of the latter's Technical User Group steering the way the future sites are built.
Site launched in January 1996, many revisions since.
In its current form, the official site runs on a platform common to most Football League clubs.
Since 2002 Windmill has been filming, editing and publishing daily news videos for exclusive viewing by 'BladesWorld subscribers'. Our video footage has also been carried by BBC North and YTV, and audio used on BBC Radio Sheffield and Real Radio.
Windmill has also undertaken non-matchday photography assignments for the club, and has had photographs syndicated in the national press.

This campaign site for Samsung and the European Olympic Committees. The programme focuses on providing schools and after-school clubs in Croatia, Denmark, Ireland, Italy and the UK with a wide range of sports equipment and teaching materials.

Acting as the negotiators between very large corporations/governements, Echelon required a compact, formal site to provide contact information and CVs for their specialists, and case studies to encourage contact from would-be clients.
Windmill's role was to develop a site fulfilling these requirements from a very strict style guide. The news and case study sections are maintained by Echelon via a content management system.

Windmill re-skinned the Stor-Home concept for this spin-off. Although the resulting site is not in use, superceded by a flash-based site by DEDass, our checkout system was retained, integrating with Lloyds TSB Cardnet/ProTX.

Stor are supplier of Swedish furniture - no, not that one. Instead a range of exclusive high-end storage solutions and shelving.

South Yorkshire Housing Association has a substantial stock of both general needs and Care and Supported Housing properties, together with a large development programme. We are partnership driven with a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation.
A site in it's third revision, this client has been with us since 1996, and includes the public facing information for tenants both and prospective tenants, together with both open and restricted access sections for financial analysis/information for the industry.
Windmill's designed and developed all three revisions of the site from the floor up, though the latest to a very strict style guide.
The latest development was to move the association's human resource procedures online, with a full content management system allowing vacancies to be advertised, applied for, and processed online.

Michelin recognised restaurant
This start-up restaurant with chefs Jamie Bosworth and Lee Vintin quickly attracted the plaudits, with Michelin recognition, and a recommendation from the Lonely Planer Guide.
Windmill's role was to provide a classy site portraying the reputations of the staff, together with frequently changing menu and special events pages administered by the staff.
Sadly, the backers pulled the plug before the public at large cottoned on.

Part of BBC Shooting Live
Between April 2003 and March 2004 we travelled around England, meeting people, asking them about their own Englands and asking what Englishness is these days. As part of the BBC's Shooting Live funded this Third Angel/DED Associates collaboration.
Windmill developed the site to gather user data, and allow the artists to send email postcards from around Blighty to all those that request them.

Scattergood's Agency Ltd is a specialist in Catering and Hospitality recruitment and currently supplies permanent and temporary staff to a wide range of clients.
Windmill developed this site in conjuction with Minka (design) to provide a searchable database of current opportunities. The database is populated by filtering a databurst from a recruitment portal, selecting only the appropriate positions.

Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI), formerly the Irish Energy Centre, was set up by the government in 2002 as Ireland's national energy agency to promote and assist the development of sustainable energy.
